Excellent service, they lit a fire inside as soon as we sat down, delicious food, and good pricing.
It wouldn't even matter if their service wasn't amazing (staff is wonderful) or their food was horrible (it's delicious) or the bar wasn't fully stocked (wide selection of top shelf available) because their Grandma's Sticky Toffee Pudding is hands down the best dang cake dessert I have ever eaten. Not to mention the lovely fireplace and a warm, inviting atmosphere. We are their newest regulars - go to 50 Grand and thank me later.
Came here after a day of x-mad tree hunting. Amazing bar, good hospitality, great selection of food. Over all great place to eat.
Loved this place! High end house with a robust menu and a fab cocktail bar! Thoroughly impressed with the service, the fare, and the ambiance. Surprising to find an upscale place like this on the outside of a metropolitan area. Incredible beers on tap, incredible selection of whiskeys from all over the world, exceptional menu and wonderful service! This will be a must stop every time we're in the area!
We enjoyed our experience. Bartender and server were very accommodating and friendly. I enjoyed the bacon meatloaf served with roasted veggies and mashed potatoes. My potatoes were cold. Some would be turned off but I ate them, no problem. Also enjoyed the veggie burger with fries. The fries had a strangely familiar McDonald's taste. They were good. . All of our friends enjoyed their meals. It was very sleepy and we closed the place down. The ladies in our group loved the heated seats in the restrooms. Now that's different! Thanks for a nice evening.
Wonderful food great drinks. Fine Dinning here in Pollock Pines. A cut above what you might expect to see in a larger City. Excellent Friendly service. They are very friendly and responsive to your needs and welcoming. One of our favorite restaurants.
We love this place! We frequent Lake Tahoe and it is a perfect way to end our trip. Delightful and always a warm welcome. Their reviews say it all!
I had the filet mignon appetizer with a side salad. My husband had the fish and chips with a side salad. Both of our meals were delicious. Of course, I stole half of my husband's "chips" because they're the skinny fries that are crispy. Yum! The service was attentive. We also enjoyed mocktails: the Moscow mule and blackberry sunrise. We will definitely come here again, especially since it's very close to home. Lucky us!
If you're coming out of Lake Tahoe on hwy 50 & want a home cooked style meal, I recommend 50 Grand. Wedge salad: fresh iceberg , red onions, shredded carrots, cherry tomatoes, croutons, bacon crumbles, blue cheese..Good Chicken Fried Prime rib: Thick chunk of beef, chicken fried...Interesting Included some tasty sauted veggies & mashed potatoes. Beer Bacon Mac and cheese: The right ratio of pasta & cheese mixture, slightly smokey as advertised..Me like! Sat by the fireplace, waiter was spot on & pricing good, overall fun experience. Split all this with my partner in crime & we were pleasantly full for the ride home.
My wife and myself love to have our special time together over dinner. This place did not disappoint. The service was was great and my Prime rib was the best I've ever had anywhere. It was cooked perfectly, tender and delicious. The portion was more than I could finish, seriously. Thank you 50 Grand
